My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chiwis is about 9 years young, and 27 pounds.
Chiwis was rescued after his "owner" threw him in the BBQ, this horrible act made it to TV and newspapers. Needless to say this person went to jail.
Our commitment to Chiwis is TO FIND A FOREVER LOVING FAMILY THAT WILL PROTECT AND CARE FOR HIM THE REST OF HIS LIFE.
Chiwis deserves to be loved and treated with respect. He would do best in a family with a calm environment (a home with no kids would be better). If you are a retiree that wants a companion or a person that works from home, Chiwis would be the best pal to have around.
He is quiet, enjoys his bed, likes to go out on walks but not runs or difficult hikes. Likes to play with other dogs occasionally as he prefers to lay down and rest to enjoy a carefree moment.
Chewis can be a little timid at first, we think this is because of the horrible experience he had.
Overall he is a great doggy, easy going and not demanding or high maintenance.
