My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

It would be a Crime Not to Make Felony a Member of Your Family

2-year-old, mostly black, female, Czech Shepherd
Good with other dogs: Likely
Good with children: Unknown
Good with cats: Unknown

It’s not all in the name, at least not this time. Beautiful, sweet Felony is anything but “bad.” This
stunning girl was turned over to Saving Paws because there was a frail senior citizen living with the
family and she jumped on her. Now THAT is a crime, to let this girl go! She didn’t even get a chance to
show her skills through training and obedience classes.

But we are thrilled that Felony will get a second chance with a loving home that appreciates how smart
and beautiful this girl is. She’s just a pup at only two years old, but in just a few days, she has picked up
several commands and has been conquering the agility equipment at the rescue. She catches on FAST.
So we are certain that with some training, this friendly girl will make a fantastic addition to an active
family.

She seems to do OK with other dogs, but we always recommend meet and greets with other family pets.
We don’t know whether she’s good with children or with cats, but given her young age and high energy
level, we’d recommend older children just to make sure they don’t get jumped on or knocked over
unintentionally. She walks well on a leash and rides in a car, but of course, could benefit from further
training.

Considering how quickly she picked up on the agility equipment, this girl would likely love any kind of
dog sports or activities such as flyball, agility or maybe even dock diving.

But the best part about this wonderful girl is her sweet, friendly personality. She loves people and
adores affection and ear scratches. This girl was described by one of our volunteers as, “the complete
package.”

If you are an active family and would like to give Felony a place in your home, please fill out our
online
application
to get the approval process started. We will only schedule meet and greets with an approved
application. All staff members are volunteers and are not compensated for their time and expenses.
Many juggle family and full-time careers while volunteering at Saving Paws. Please be patient, as
sometimes it takes up to 5 days to process an application.
