Here's what the humans have to say about me:
There are no bad days when you are owned by a Pug. Ask any Pug person. It's just fact and One More Dog's resident 6 year young Pug, Bumble Bee, knows that she deserves a family that will promise her only happy days too. With that in mind, she felt it was only appropriate to give us a list of her must-haves...
1) Must love to cuddle 2) Must have a kitchen big enough for dancing and twirling during breakfast, dinner and snack time 2.5) Must understand the importance of snack time 3) Must have a great appreciation for snarfling, snorting and snoring 4) Must have a love for toys and playing 5) Must love snaggle tooth cutie pies
Bumble Bee joined the OMD family when she found as a stray and then found herself in a high-kill shelter. Sadly, like so many dogs we pull, Bumble contracted an Upper Respiratory Infection, which was particularly hard on her due to her adorable Pug nose. Between weeks of fighting the crud from Animal Control and what our Veterinary team suspects is scaring on her lungs due to living with smokers, Bumble is one of the loudest Pugs we have ever met. Don't worry, she tells us that the louder the Pug, the bigger their heart and we believe it. Bumble's love is definitely as immense as her snorts are loud. Our Queen Bee is fiercely loyal and she is looking for a family that will embrace her complete adoration for them. While she is fine being on her own, in true Pug style, she can also be bit of a velcro pup so you should be ready for her to follow you from room to room and to be on your lap or by your side when you are relaxing. This also means you patting her head and doling out the kisses. Other than snuggle time with her people, Bumble's happiest moments are waiting for you at the top of the stairs where she will offer you her paw and when she gets a new toy. She loves to throw her back legs out behind her in frog-pose, toss her toys into the air, catch them, chase them and shake them with all of her might. Our 22 lb. Puggie is too amazing to share her space with others, so she kindly requests a family all her own, but would happily consider a home with dog-saavy kiddos. The more laps the better! B is still working on her potty training and her family should be prepared to keep her on a consistent schedule. We expect with routine, she will have her housebreaking perfected in no time. Bumble Bee crates well and is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped. If you are ready to be owned by this perfect Pug, please complete an application at omdrescue.org.
