My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We all know how we get that awww feeling when we see an adorable young puppy. They're so new and fresh with every possibility open to them. That's the case unless they're in a high-kill shelter that quickly runs out of space. We're so grateful for the efforts of our great Texas rescuer in saving Macy ...she could see that her temperaments was so kind and calm that she couldn't allow her to be euthanized.

Macy is the kind of very endearing puppy that will lie in your arms and give a periodic loving kiss... but then watch out.puppy energy calls. She is a great combination of sweet lap (or couch) puppy mixed with the energy to participate in any activity. When full-grown, Macy will be a take along kind of girl who can hike a mountain or go to a dog-loving workplace. Her talents and great temperament will come out with positive reinforcement group obedience classes (Farfel's is happy to provide the name of a trainer in your area). Macy is such a smart and engaging puppy that she'll find huge success in in these type of classes.

Macy was immediately brought to be vetted and brought to the home of her rescuer to receive pure love and begin her education. It turns out that Macy at only 15 weeks old and 12 lbs (expected to be approximately 25 - 30 lbs when full-grown) is very calm and so very sweet that it's become a fun and rewarding experience for her rescuer. Macy is like a blank slate...open and curious about everything around her...and she's incredibly entertaining when she gets going. If she continues this regimen of socialization that promotes positive relationships with other dogs and bonding with humans...Macy will become a well-adjusted and engaging adult companion.

Macy is a gorgeous Australian Shepherd/Border Collie puppy (this mix is identified by the shelter..we're not sure but know that Macy is an adorable and very sweet girl) with a shining coat that speaks of good health. her calm demeanor is just who she is...she just appears to be more analytical than your average crazy puppy. If Macy is treated kindly with clear behavioral guidelines, she will become a well-adjusted girl who respects her people as her leaders. This is the kind of family we're searching for for Macy.

We also feel it's very important that Macy is provided with exercise and mental stimulation. She would be overjoyed with one day hiking along Colorado paths and enjoying the sunshine. We'd like a family who spends lots of time at home and chooses to include a fuzzy companion in their activities. Macy can be taught that the car is a fun place that leads to great adventures out in the community and can therefore accompany her family just about anywhere.

Macy will be up to date on her vetting/vaccinations to be in line with our commitment to adopting out healthy and well-balanced pups. Farfel's has requested that Macy be spayed prior to her transport to Colorado. If this doesn't occur, Farfel's is happy to cover all costs for Macy's spay and microchip if our Denver vet is used.

Macy will be arriving on transport in Denver on Saturday 2/18/17. If interested in this beautiful and sweet...and often very silly and entertaining best friend, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com or fax to 303-443-7730.
