Bubba's Story...
What a handsome boy! Bubba is a 6 year old Dachshund looking for his new leash on life! This poor boy was brought in along with two other fur-siblings after his previous owners could no longer keep them. He is such a sweet boy and greets you with a wagging tail as soon as you enter his room. He does great with other dogs, but may feel competitive around certain males. He loves attention and seems happiest when you're giving him lots of pets and head scratches! Bubba is current on vaccines and microchipped and will be neutered once he is adopted. Unfortunately, he didn't receive regular heartworm prevention and was diagnosed with heartworm disease, but don't let that deter you! His adoption fee covers his treatment! If you're looking for a wonderful, lovable new family member, Bubba's the pup for you! He's available at our Waggin' Tails Adoption Center so come fall in love today! We're open every day from 12-6.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bubba, a Benbrook Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Benbrook, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Benbrook.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Benbrook already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Benbrook breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Benbrook paves the way for another one to be saved.
