My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Misti Mae, I weigh 5 1/2 lbs. I came to CRIN as an owner surrender. They gave me away because I had had an accident in the house and someone kicked me and broke my back leg. My foster mom and brother helped me with my PT and it's nearly healed now! I like all the attention to myself so I need to be the only dog in my new family. I am still a little bit nervous around humans, so I tend to let them know when I want to be picked up and cuddled. My favorite things are short walks, long naps, playing tug of war, and swimming in the bath tub! I got my leg a lot better by swimming. When the Dr did the surgery, and put the pin under my skin it really irritated me. So I hobbled around on 3 legs, (I kept the hurt one tucked up under me) and the Dr didn't like it so much. My foster mom and brother just kept working with me, and when the pin came out I figured I could finally put weight on my wounded leg. Foster mom doesn't know how I'll react to lil people, she hasn't had a chance to have me around them yet, so she thinks I would thrive with adults and more patient humans. I have 2 feline foster siblings, and when they are in the mood, I get along wonderfully with them. Thank you for taking the time to read my story! I look forward to meeting my furever family!
