Poppy's Story...
Poppy is one year in age, fully vetted, heart worm tested, up to date on HW preventative, good in her crate, micro chipped, of course spayed. She is extremely social and the star at the dog park, playing with all of the dogs and people, she is very very sweet.
She adores dogs, likes cats though they tend to run from her, children, all people. She is currently in foster with another Pit Happens dog and a little female Schnauzer who is older. Poppy is submissive.
She needs an active owner who will continue to work with her on manners, basic commands and give her a lot of puppy play time. She is social, intelligent, active and eager to please.
Contact info is PitHappensRescue@gmail.com. She is currently in foster with children and two other dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Poppy, a Chattanooga American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Chattanooga, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Chattanooga.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chattanooga already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chattanooga breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chattanooga paves the way for another one to be saved.
