My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Josie is Adopted

Josie is currently fostered in Mentor OH, and her adoption fee/donation is $175

Josie is an 8 yr old female cocker spaniel, she was surrendered to us by her owner due to very young grandchildren in the home.
Josie is somewhat skittish, her owner said she always was, and children scare her, which in turn causes her to nip at them.
She must be placed in an adult only home without small children.
She tolerates other dogs but gets jealous of them when it comes to sharing her humans attention.
She will do best as an only dog.

Josie has been very well loved and cared for, she is very affectionate with people, loves to be on any lap, and is a great cuddler.
She is very well house-trained, does not have accidents in the home, and has no issues being left alone during a normal workday.
This girl will make a wonderful loving companion to a lonely senior or someone without small children looking for a nice dog like Josie.
She is healthy overall, and does not have any heart issues, or hip/knee problems that are common with this breed.
She does however have a cataract on one eye that does not appear to be affecting her vision at this point.

Josie is somewhat skittish as mentioned earlier, however warms up quickly and just adores being with her person.
Could you be that person for her? If so apply within, as we do not expect her to be in rescue long.

Josie is spayed and up to date on all vaccinations
