My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I'm a very sweet boy who loves nothing more than to spend time with my people. I'm five years young, with shiny black fur and big, soulful green eyes. I'm very calm, and my big eyes tend to make people think that I'm lost in thought. I love affection and cuddles, and will reach out my paw to tap your arm or grab your hand to ask you to pet me. I have a lovely rumbling purr, which you're sure to hear when you pet me. I will calmly tolerate being picked up and held or carried, but would much prefer to jump onto your lap and curl up beside you for affection. I'd love to watch TV or read a book with you! I love having my face scratched, and may even nibble on your fingers just a little. Don't worry, it won't hurt - I actually only have two teeth left. The rest of my teeth were removed because of a medical condition that basically made me allergic to my own teeth. Now that my mouth isn't hurting any more, I'm much more relaxed and happier, and much more likely to give kisses! When I'm not cuddling with you, I like to find a nice cozy spot to curl up and nap. My favourite spots at my foster mom's house are under the dresser and inside the desk drawer! Don't worry, I will almost certainly come out for pets when you walk in! I'm a very laid back boy, and I get along well with other cats. I would probably like a dog if we have a proper introduction. I definitely would not do well alone, and will need a family with another friendly pet that I can cuddle with when my people aren't home. I don't mind kids so long as they are gentle with me.

I was surrendered to the rescue because my owner moved to Thailand for work and couldn't take me with him. Before that, I lived down the street with an older gentleman until he had to move into a long term care facility. I was very sad when he left, and I'm quite happy in my foster home, but I would love nothing more than to find my own forever home!
