My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is a courtesy listing--Amadalia is not a CHEW Dog Rescue dog. If you are interested in her, please call 253 208-0590 if you are interested in her.

Positive attributes:
-Amidala is very loving and affectionate. She loves hugs and kisses and petting.
-She is also a lounge dog. She loves to just sit with you and watch tv or snuggle you while you read
-She is a good companion for walks
-She is a good eater with no food aggression whatsoever.
-She is at ease when no other dogs are around
-She is curious and everything new, she likes to explore

What she likes:
-Amidala likes cuddling, she likes sleeping, she likes treats, she likes following her humans around, she loves playing fetch (she's working on how to bring the ball back), she loves playing with toys, she likes being chased around.

What she doesn't like:
-long car rides make her a little sick (more than 30 mins), she doesn't like getting her nails clipped or washing (but she is very tolerant), being left outside for too long (she just gets upset or cries), being locked up in a room when people around still around in the house (she will cry), delivery people (she will bark to alert you), she is fearful of new people and they must be introduced slowly (she is very vocal) by her foster home has worked on this.

Things she has been successful in:
-Training: she knows sit, down, lay down, stay (for short times), and wait (for short times), she also knows "eyes" (we were working on this), she knows "here" instead of "come" and she knows "place" when you point.
-She is quick with correcting behaviors
-she is potty trained (accidents still happen occasionally if she is not put in her own space at night (in a bed room or in a kennel)

Overall, Amidala is kind and sweet and loving. She snuggles you when you're upset and knows when you need a little extra from her. She is smart and needs attention and exercise, but she is also very laid back when the environment is right.
