My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jane, she is an approx. 3-4 year old Boxer/American bulldog/English bulldog mix. Jane showed up at my house a month ago just a bag of bones, the poor girl was freezing and as you can see in her one picture she only weighed 28 pounds. She was dumped when some boys found her and no one ever came to claim her. It's not known what happened to her other then she was skinny and filthy dirty. She since has been to the Dr. had tests to assure that her emaciation was just lack of food. She's healthy now, blood checked out perfect including negative for heartworms. She now weighs 45 pounds but still could fill out more. Jane is showing some dislike toward the dogs here but did fine at the vet with dogs walking past her, maybe just a barrier, (crate ) thing but Jane had a temperament test with a behaviorist just to evaluate for adoption and she did great. She was very friendly with everyone. She thinks maybe even she could live with another dog after continued socialization but probably, if any, a male, but being the only dog of the home would probably be best. Jane loves people, her hiney and little stub tail never stops wagging. She's very affectionate and loves to give kisses. She loves to ride in the car so she'll be a good traveling companion. Jane now deserves a good life. Dogs are like children they only can mold to the home they came from, they learn behavior from their surroundings so maybe in time she can learn to like other canines when she know's they won't hurt her. When Jane first came here she did have some accidents but think she just didn't know any better but in the past week now she has not had any. So, think she will do just fine. UPDATE: After Jane is now filling out, most people thinks she looks like a English Bulldog, so I do believe that is her prominent breed. She loves people of all sizes, her little stub never stops wiggling. She is still doing good on the housetraining but until she's 100% she'll need a home where she can get regular potty breaks. Jane, as I stated above, loves to ride in the car so someone who's on the road a lot, she may make a great co-pilot. She still shows some dislike to other dogs in the home but outside of the home she does not pay much attention, so best to say she should probably be the only pet in the home. But I have found out that she is fine with cats. She can go for walks past other dogs with no issues, but dog parks would probably not be the best (at least for now). I really love this girl and know there's a perfect home out there somewhere just waiting to find her. Jane has now been spayed, up to date on her vaccines and microchipped. If you would like to hear more information about Jane or would like to meet her, please call Jody at 708 268-6965. Jane's adoption fee is $200.00.
