At the home of the hoarder where Ducky was rescued, there were Shih-tzu’s, Pomeranian's, Chihuahua’s and Pekingese roaming in the home . . . and every combination of them. Among the dozens of adult dogs were 3 little brothers, barely 8 weeks old, wandering around the house like the 3 Muskateers and that's when we got them. And they have never looked back.

Ducky is the sweet, sensitive brother of the bunch. It took him a little over 3 weeks to really get comfortable at his foster house and given his imperfect start in life, it's easy to understand why. But with nurturing and patience, he's come out of his shell and he's become their favorite (shhhhhhhhhh, don't tell the others!!) Maybe it's the way Ducky will wait for foster mom to take her slippers off so he can grab one and run away with it . . . and then how he pouts when she takes it away. Or maybe it's the way he gets his courage up to join in all the canine-craziness when his foster siblings are running around like lunatics, even though he still scoots out of the way when the others get too rowdy. Or maybe it's simply his cute little overbite! Ducky still likes to hide behind the nearest pair of legs if playdates get out of control -- after all, he's a lover not a fighter. He would be a couch potato if you let him . . . and right-beside-you will always be his favorite spot in the house.

We are looking for a very special adopter for Ducky who will understand that he may take longer to transition, he will need lots of TLC and that his love and devotion will be worth the wait!

Ducky is about 4 months old, he weighs about 6 - 7 pounds and he is very healthy. We have no idea what his true mix is but we do expect him to stay very small as an adult. If you have the patience and love to help Ducky feel secure, please visit www.pinkshelter.org for more information about the adoption process or click here for our online application. Full vetting, microchip AND neuter included in his $400 adoption fee. Transport fee is additional $150. IF YOU HAVE AOL or YAHOO PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM FILE FOR OUR RESPONSE
