My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Elizabeth. I'm a 3-year-old spayed female Spaniel mix. I'm absolutely adorable and as sweet as can be! I love people and I get along well with other dogs. I'm friendly, outgoing and happy!

Not a whole lot is known about my history. I was a stray wandering the streets of South LA, when sadly, one day, I was hit by a car! I was then picked up by animal control and dropped off at the pound. I had a large wound on my back right leg and I was limping as well. After the shelter vet examined me and x-rays were taken, it was determined that I had pelvic fractures, in addition to my wound. My leg was bandaged and I was sent back to my kennel, where I waited day and night to be adopted. I wasn't sure if and when I would get out of that scary high-kill shelter.

Then one day, my luck changed. Some friendly volunteers took notice of my beauty and charm, and told the folks at CageFree that I was an amazing dog in need of a home. The next thing I knew, I was on my way over to their rescue facility to join the pack. CageFree sent me to their private vet for an exam, where it was determined that I needed to be placed on activity restriction in order for my pelvis to heal properly.

So now here I sit, waiting patiently for my forever family to come and find me. My activity restriction is over and now I'm free to run and play to my little heart's content. All things considered, I consider myself to be a pretty lucky girl!

I'm getting lots of love and care here at CageFree, but I don't want to stay here forever. I would love to move into my forever home soon! So, what do you think? Do I sound like the pup you've been looking for to complete your family? If you'd like to meet me, please contact CageFree right away to arrange a visit!
