My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Shepherd mix
2.5 years old
Spayed Female
Adoption fee: $175

This wonderful Shepherd mix is in foster care and would love to meet you. She is a good girl who will do well with a family who will give her lots of love, exercise, and consistency. She likes most dogs but is not a fan of cats. If you are interested in getting together with her and her foster family please call the shelter to set up a time to meet at FVHA. Her foster mom has this to say about her:
"Dixie is a Super Sweet dog. She can be a little shy at first, but warms up quickly and loves attention and loves to rub up against you. She is very well behaved and knows most of her manners. She listens extremely well. She is house broken and does well in her crate. She’s a happy girl and she’s very playful. She does well with most dogs, but she does need a strong leader as she tends to be slightly dominant with them. NO cats."

We always recommend crate training, exercise, playtime, and a regular schedule for potty breaks when bringing a new dog into your home. Adjustment takes time for both you and your new family member, so remember to be patient and enjoy this new and exciting time!

Included in the adoption fee are rabies & distemper vaccinations, heartworm testing, deworming, spay or neuter surgery.
