Little Guy is a neutered 14 pound male shih tzu who is mostly tan and white. He is approximately 10 years old. He is a joy to live with and will make anyone a nice couch companion. He also likes to go for car rides.
Since he has the start of cataracts, small children under the age of 7 would not work because he startles when he doesn’t hear or see something come up beside him.
He will need dental care more often than some other dogs but is still able to eat dry food.
Lil Guy is potty trained and loves to run in the back yard no matter the weather. He is not good at walking on a leash so will need a fenced yard. He gets along with other dogs but doesn’t necessarily play with them.

Our application can be found online at here.
Our adoption fee for dogs that are not seniors is $220. All dogs are spayed or neutered and up to date on vaccines and heartworm.
Our adoption process includes an application, personal and vet reference checks, and a home visit. We do not ship dogs under any circumstances.
We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check our front page for the dates of our next Pet Parade. Appointments outside of Pet Parade to visit our dogs are only available after an application has been filled out, and processing has begun.
Please be kind to our volunteers. E-mail inquiries will be answered much faster than phone inquiries; our phone number is a voice mailbox only.

You'll receive a copy, too, at to help you keep track of which pets you've inquired about, and which shelters and rescues you've emailed.
NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter! Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures, on the pet's details page on Adopt-a-Pet.com.
