Annie's Story...
Annie, a 2 year old, 35 lb., female Cattle Dog mix is a total sweetheart. Annie is the perfect family dog.
She loves everyone, especially children and greets anyone she meets with kisses and a wagging tail.
She likes to be around people and is great with the dogs in her foster home. Annie is smart and very
eager to please, (and loves treats) which makes her extremely easy to train; she knows basic commands
like "sit" and "come." This sweet girl is playful when you’re ready to play or quietly
snuggles on her dog bed when things settle down. She is the go to girl for anyone looking for a warm
and friendly companion and loves nothing better than to snuggle. She loves the kids and dog in her
home, but should not be with cats or small animals. Annie's personality is much bigger than her petite
body and anyone that meets her is sure to fall in love with this sweet baby whose tail never stops wagging.

Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (www.anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible, organization. We are an all volunteer group, so after submitting your application, if you don't hear back from us within a few days, please e-mail us at adoption@anewchancear.org. Be sure to read about the adoption process (http://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-process/) on our website, so you'll know what to expect and fill out all fields on the adoption application (http://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/) or we won't be able to process it. We are a foster-based rescue and do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. Please do not contact us requesting a meeting with a dog because we are an all-volunteer organization, and these requests tie up our volunteers who could instead be checking applications.

As you can imagine, we are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (http://anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We do not have a shelter facility and we provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering, and microchipping before transporting our dogs. Then, we provide whatever follow up care is necessary while they are in foster care. All of this is very expensive and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources, so if you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (http://anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through your kindness and that of supporters like you that we are "changing lives...one tail at a time" by providing our dogs with "A New Chance." (www.anewchancear.org)

Thanks so much.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Annie, a Bedford Hills Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cattle Dog for sale in Bedford Hills, or seeking a Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Bedford Hills.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bedford Hills already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bedford Hills breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cattle Dog breeders who help with Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bedford Hills paves the way for another one to be saved.
