Facts about Emmie Lu - special needs

  • Breed: Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier
  • Color: Silver & Tan (Yorkie Colors)
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Female
Emmie Lu comes to us from a rural high kill shelter.  She is 4 years old and it's been reported she was hit by a car.  She has some sway in her back legs and has lost her bladder control.  Emmie wears a diaper due to her injuries.  A onesie snapped around this keeps it in place and makes her care easily manageable.  For times when Emmie's caretaker is away, or asleep, Emmie uses a pen with a protective floor pad so she can spend some time out of diapers.  Emmie also has a cataract in her left eye, although she sees fine with the other. Emmie is not fond of cats or kids but does get along well with other dogs.  She is a lovable girl who like sitting on the couch with her foster mom and going for car rides.  Emmie's foster mom will continue to support her new adoptive family with advice on how best to care for Emmie.  If you would like to make a monetary or diaper donation (Size 1 or 2) for Emmie please contact her foster mom, JoAnn, at 574-612-5134.

All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested negative and microchipped. An adult dog's adoption fee is $200
