Jail's Story...
White and Brindle Ticking
DOB: 04/26/2014
Cat Trainable - Yes

Our policy is to reserve the cat-trainable dogs for those homes that truly require them. If you have no small animals, you will need to adopt a dog that is not deemed small animal trainable.

Jail is a friendly, happy guy. He enjoys attention but he's not usually pushy about things. He likes rawhide bones and he generally crates well.

Jail did well in cat testing, but has never lived with a cat. Use a muzzle initially, and closely monitor all interactions. When unable to monitor the interaction, some form of physical barrier should be used, i.e. crating.

Jail interacted well with the other greyhounds. Caution should be used whenever in the vicinity of non-greyhounds.

A fenced yard is required to adopt Jail.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jail, a Seattle Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Seattle, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Seattle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Seattle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Seattle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Seattle paves the way for another one to be saved.
