This sweet soul has not had an easy life. She lived outdoors most of her life and was then abandoned when her owners moved. We are partnering up with Ruff Transport to find this girl an amazing forever home. Ruff Transport is paying for her heartworm treatment (because sadly she is heartworm positive) and her spay. We will just be helping network and possibly foster her after her treatment is done. She is a smaller Pit Bull but weighs in at a surprising 49lbs. She is so sweet. Has been around a small child and a teenager with her original owners. She has walked by children on a leash and been nothing but tail wags. She has not been anything but friendly to everyone. The vets office staff loved her. Freedom lets them do all the procedures without an issue. She does well with other dogs. Honestly, she is the poster child for Pitties. She walks very well on a leash and next to other dogs. She is housebroken and will not go potty on cement or in a crate. She is getting more confident now, but used to drink every drop out of water bowls and not want to be outside alone. She is a very calm dog. She just wants to sit by you and sleep. She has free access in the house now (supervised of course to be sure she is calm due to heart worm treatment). She does not get over excited when loose so it has worked great. Very sweet personality and very dog friendly. Greets everything she meets with a wagging tail. Great with all people young and old.Freedom was cat tested and did very well with the cats laying around, but did get excited when one darted away. Has never had an accident in the house. Freedom walks great on a leash, rides well in the car. She wants to be with people. She loves toys. Her foster says she has medium energy level. She's not big on being in a crate and because of this she can be a bit of an escape artist. her foster says she does well being left out so far.

Freedom's adoption fee is $175.All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.

Our adoption process begins by filling out an application at our website http://pawpatroldayton.com/adoptable-dogs/. Your application will be reviewed. Then your vet and personal references will be contacted. Approved applicants will be contacted for a meet-n-greet in the order applications are received. Then there is a home visit and then the adoption. The amount of time the adoption process takes varies. We are an all volunteer rescue. Please understand we are all doing our rescue work outside of our jobs, families, and other commitments. It takes time to contact references, to schedule meet-n-greets, home checks & adoptions that work with your schedule, as well as, ours. Please be patient with us during this process. We always want to place our dogs in a good home as quickly as we can.

About Paw Patrol

About Our Rescue Group...

Paw Patrol is a dedicated group of volunteers working to improve the quality of life for dogs living in our community.

Our Mission is:
To rescue and re-home abused, neglected or otherwise unwanted dogs into loving homes.
To provide shelter in the form of an adequate doghouse to outdoor dogs in an effort to keep them warm and dry.
To promote the importance of spaying/neutering dogs and to offer this service at a free or subsidized cost to dog owners.
To provide information to the public about the negative aspects of dog tethering.
To assist owners with necessary resources to allow them to keep their dog happy, healthy, and out of the already over-crowded shelter system.
To provide outdoor dogs with either a trolley run or a fence built by volunteers in order to improve their quality of life and remove any form of tethering.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption fees cover spay/neuter for our dogs, vaccinations, heart worm testing/medication, microchipping and any vet care necessary. Once you fill out an application on the adoptables tab on our website, http://pawpatroldayton.com/adoptable-dogs, a representative will conduct a reference check with your vet provided. A call to the potential adopter will be made when the representative is done verifying the information on the contract.
