Harvey's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Harvey's Story...
Harvey is a sweet cairn terrier mix. He is approx 3-4 years and 25 lbs. He has a really nice personality, he is quiet and well behaved, a little timid and shy at first but soon warms up. He gets along well with the other dogs but is not one to run and play a lot in the yard with his buddies. He likes to hang out on a comfy doggie bed. He seems to be quite well house and leash trained. He did test positive for heartworms and has been treated, and he has also been started on a monthly heartworrm preventative. He is going to be a great companion for someone.

The total adoption donation of $525 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. Some of our dogs are still in TX in foster care. Our adoption application is online at http://houstonshaggydogrescue.org/application-process/

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harvey, a Bedminster Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cairn Terrier for sale in Bedminster, or seeking a Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Bedminster.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bedminster already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bedminster breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bedminster paves the way for another one to be saved.
