My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Sammy" is a handsome 9-month old male kitty who was brought to the HSOV on July 4, 2016 along with his siblings (Betsy & Patriot) after they were found in the Belpre Ohio area. They were tiny frail 4-5 week old kittens at that time and desperately in need of medical/first-aid attention. Sadly, the little brother "Patriot" did not survive :( But thankfully Sammy and his lovely sister Betsy not only survived but thrived thanks to the excellent care they were given by our compassionate HSOV kennel techs.

"Sammy" has a dark brown short smooth coat in a tabby pattern, a long ringed tail, and an adorable chubby-looking face. He has a playful outgoing personality and dearly loves his little sister "Betsy" with whom she is sharing a large triple cat tower in our Jungle Room. These siblings have spent nearly all of their young lives in our shelter and have not been separated since coming to our shelter on the Fourth of July 2016. We feel it is in their best interest to find a home together.

"Sammy" was neutered on September 28, 2016 and was given rabies vaccine. He is up-to-date on vaccinations and has been given wormer/flea treatments. "Sammy" weighed 10.4 lbs on February 15, 2017 when these updated photos were taken.

"Sammy" has limited vision in his left eye as a result of the eye infections that he had as a young kitten, so he is being listed as a 'Special Needs Cat'. But please be assured that this is not a problem for Sammy and doesn't slow him down in the least :)

Rescue groups may contact our Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation and also provide combo testing without charge to rescues/fosters.
