Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Billy is an utterly adorable and responsive, rough and tumble, three to four-month-old, 20-pound, Black Lab/Schnauzer-mix puppy looking for a loving guardian.
This little guy landed at Richland Animal Control in Olney, Illinois. I’m not sure why, but I guess puppies are too much work for some people.
He is a happy, fun, playful pup who loves everyone he meets. He’s a blank slate waiting for a dog-lover to take him under their wing to love him, train him and give him plenty of exercise.
He already has excellent eye contact, an “auto-sit” and comes running to me when called.
Billy is crate-trained and is working on his housebreaking. He’s also working on walking nicely on leash. He gets rave reviews from my neighbors who think he’s the cutest puppy ever!
Because puppies have sharp teeth and claws, he is not recommended for young children. He’d be fine with adults, and teenagers who are willing to help in the training process.
Billy is healthy, up-to-date on vaccines, and treated with flea and worm preventative. He will be neutered by the rescue when he is a little bit older.
To meet and possibly adopt Billy, please contact Sheri at sheri@petraits.com for an adoption application. His adoption fee of $300 benefits rescued dogs. He is being fostered in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood.
