Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jax was born around 09/19/2016. He currently weighs about 30 pounds. We expect him to mature to be about 40 pounds. We had his DNA tested to find his ancestry and the predominant breeds are Collie, American Staffordshire Terrier, and Boxer. He was born with a defect in his right front leg which required it be amputated to prevent future problems. He has not had any trouble compensating for the loss and is as active and playful as ever. He negotiates stairs without any difficulties and plays Tug of War with his best friend Purdy. He walks on leash and is learning basic commands. He is crate trained and will transition easily to housebreaking. He is very friendly and gets along well with other dogs and is okay with cats. He is also very good with children. We feel he has the calm, gentle personality that would make him a great candidate to be trained as a service dog to visit children in hospitals or rehabilitation centers. He would make a great family pet. All of our pets are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm tested negative (on monthly heartworm and flea preventive) and are microchipped. Upon adoption, the microchip will be registered with your contact information and you will be eligible to activate a free 30 day health insurance policy. His adoption fee is $200.
