Liza is a 5 year old female Newfy/Retriever mix who came to the shelter very skinny, and a little shy-- life has not been kind to her. She maintains a dignified, gentle, very loving personality in spite of what her past was. Gentle with cats, good with other dogs, tolerant of kids, Liza is an easy going dog who doesn't ask for much. Patience as she builds some confidence, a little help with learning the house training in a new place, and a peaceful home would be wonderful. She is used to yard space and needs someone to show her the ropes of what to do, either a person or a dog. She's worth every second of investment. Right now she is 70 pounds but underweight.
