My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pumpkin was adopted from Corridor Rescue when she was only 5 months old. She has been living in a home with several other dogs ever since. She was doing fine but did not like the new puppy that was recently added to the family. After many failed attempts to make things work, her owner decided it is best for Pumpkin to find a new home.

The good news is, Pumpkin is fully trained and listens to commands. She is very obedient, full of life and an absolute people’s dog. She wants to please her human and cuddle whenever possible. Pumpkin is a gorgeous young lady. She is a mixed breed and was born around 2/21/2014. She is 3 years old and weighs around 60 pounds.

This is what her trainer/sitter had to say about her:
She is a wonderful and loving dog when it comes to humans. She bathes easily and lays on her back in my lap to trim her nails. She is great with my 5 year old daughter and my teenagers. Her owner had no kids she was exposed to mine all the time. She is a great dog with people, wonderful with kids over 5 years, very energetic, would do good with someone who is active, she is housebroken and crates well. No cats and no dogs. If she is with dogs - no females. And only submissive males. She can be pushy with other dogs at times.

So here she is, back with us and not understanding what is happening. While she may do well with some dogs we believe it is best for her to be an only dog. This way she doesn’t have to compete for attention. Pumpkin is a bit shaken up and of course misses her family. Will you open your home for her and mend her broken heart?

**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas but is available for transport to most major US and Canadian cities via United Airlines PetSafe for an additional $275. A customs fee may apply at Canadian airports. Ground transportation to Colorado is available for $75, and several locations in the northeastern US for $175.

We are a street dog rescue in Houston, Texas seeking to place rescued dogs in loving homes across the US and Canada. Our region has more homeless animals than homes, so we look outside of our area for adopters.

The adoption fee of $200 covers spay, microchip and current vaccines.

Please apply to adopt or foster Pumpkin online at www.corridorrescue.org.
