x PAL adopted's Story...
WIRE HAIR DACHSHUND/LONG HAIR DACHSHUND PAL'S owners didn't want him and his brother Bubba, so they dumped them. They were picked up by animal control and turned over to the shelter. They are both so sweet and friendly! They are around 6 to 7 months old(7/06). Infested with fleas, ticks and under weight, they are getting better each day. They get along well with other animals and kids. For more information about Pal call Lenora at 918-225-2140 or email cimhumsoc@yahoo.com. We prefer our dogs to have a fenced yard. UPDATE****8/12/06 Gave these dogs a both a bath, for new pictures, very layed back, didn't fight bath. No fleas or ticks, very good dogs!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

x PAL adopted, a Cushing Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Cushing, or seeking a Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Cushing.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cushing already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cushing breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cushing paves the way for another one to be saved.
