Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tia is a petite two year old Doxy/Chi that we took into our rescue right before Christmas. Tia is doing well in foster. She loves people and becomes loyal quickly. Right now she's in foster with two medium sized dogs and a cat. She hasn't paid any attention to the cat and seems to enjoy the company of the two resident dogs. She can be found regularly curled up with the resident dogs. Tia was shy at first but has now fully bloomed into a playful, loving, trusting girl. She will not crate, but will get into an open crate for sleeping. She prefers to sleep with her people. She's good on a leash, not a picky eater, and is very snuggly. Tia is an excellent watchdog - if there is someone outside she will bark. She is also an excellent squirrel detective. She believes it is her job to watch the squirrel population and can do this for hours. She has not shown any reaction to a lawn mower, weed whacker or hedger. In other words, the squirrels and her people are the top priority. She has been kid tested and did well, but we always suggest that smaller dogs go to families with older (8 and above) children. Tia has open access to the outside for potty. If she absolutely has to go inside she uses a pee pad. Tia is spayed and up to date on vaccines. Tia cannot be an outdoor dog. At 7 pounds she is far too small to stay outside unsupervised. Tia will love and adore her new person forever - and longs for nothing but someone to love her back. If you are looking for a loyal, snuggly, lap loving companion and super squirrel detective, Tia is for you! Please contact Robin at AlmostHome4Ever@gmail.com for more information.
