My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PEPPER JACK: 3 Year Old Black Lab/Mix Male 80 Pounds

Pepper Jack has always been a beloved family member and has had the best upbringing and tons of attention from his stay at home mom. Unfortunately, a divorce has left his single mom with much less time to devote to Pepper Jack and he is home alone for several hours a day, so Mom has made the difficult decision to contact GGLRR to find him a wonderful new home. Of course, we are happy to help. We feel that Pepper Jack is a wonderful boy who would be a great addition to a home!

Pepper Jack loves to go for walks, runs, hikes, play fetch, rides in the car, or whatever you have in mind. He’s ready when you are! He is a very sweet boy and is good with children. When out and about, he does not react to kids on bikes or skateboards. However, very small children living in the home might be knocked down with his exuberance. Pepper Jack knows sit, stay, lay down, and he takes treats very gently. He can stay alone during working hours and waits patiently for his people to return. His favorite time of day is evening snuggles with his humans! He loves to play with other dogs at the dog park, but might chase cats or squirrels.

Health: Pepper Jack is a very healthy boy and has always received the best of vet care. He is neutered. He is due soon for vaccines and will be current on all vaccines prior to placement.

Please watch Pepper Jack’s video! If you are looking for a sweetie pie to be part of your pack please text Rescue Rep Mitzi at 408-472-2030.

(Please keep in mind we are all volunteers, most of us work full time and we all have personal lives. I do call everyone back within 2-3 days so please be patient and I will be back in touch with you. When the dogs are in foster homes then it may take longer as we need to touch base with the fosters for updates on the dogs. We work very hard to make the right matches for the dogs and for the new owners. We get 3-5 dogs per week and we do not have a facility that we keep the dogs housed in. They are scattered all over the Bay Area.)
