My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

CASH / CRASH: 6 Year Old Black Lab / Boxer Mix Neutered Male 60 Pounds

(He was given the name crash as he grew up in a surf shop. We thought Cash sounded better for him.)

"If you're having a bad day, catch a wave."

Frosty Hesson

A quote Cash learned; as he grew up as a puppy in a surf shop in San Diego! The thing is Cash does not like the water! His owner was moving into an apartment and could not keep him any longer and GGLRR saw him on craigslist and knew we needed to help this sweet boy as he did not have a prayer of getting adopted if he went to the shelter. (Cash has skin allergies that have been treated and he is in a very loving foster home!)

Cash’s owner brought him to our boarding facility and GGLRR got him the medical care he needed and got him into a great foster home. Cash is a very loving, sweet boy and we want to find a great home for him. He has had no issues growing up with all kinds of people, all kinds of kids, all kinds of animals and he loves them all but he will chase the cats for fun! At the boarding facility he got to play with a variety of dogs with no issues and he is in a foster home in the city with three other dogs.

His foster mom says: Cash is a very sweet boy, he is very engaging at home, he makes noises when I look at him like he is trying to talk to me. He is great outdoors, he does not need a leash, he responds to commands and is very friendly with other dogs we meet. He knows a few commands but is such an easy dog and just wants to please! He has a very gentle mouth, has no issues with food, toys and would be an easy dog to be around kids.

Health:

He is neutered, has all his shots, he is microchipped, he has had a full well check, blood panel, heartworm test. We have him on some medication to help his skin that will heal with good food and from being treated with medicated baths!

If you are looking for a sweet boy to be part of your pack please email Rescue Rep Liz at liz@jobshopsf.com or call 415-613-6374.

(Please keep in mind we are all volunteers, most of us work full time and we all have personal lives. I do call everyone back within 2-3 days so please be patient and I will be back in touch with you. When the dogs are in foster homes then it may take longer as we need to touch base with the fosters for updates on the dogs. We work very hard to make the right matches for the dogs and for the new owners. We get 3-5 dogs per week and we do not have a facility that we keep the dogs housed in. They are scattered all over the Bay Area.)
