Remington's Info...

I am already neutered, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Remington's Story...
Let me tell you up front - I'm the happiest puppy on the planet. My tail only stops wagging when I sleep. You could say that I'm an active, fun guy looking for my next big adventure! I'm living with my foster family right now and am learning all about house rules and basic manners. I've already learned "sit" and am doing very well on my leash skills. I LOVE to play fetch and I bring back the toy almost all of the time - it's the best game ever! I'm good about being crated and my house-training is coming along very well. . I live with five K9 foster siblings from 8 to 80 pounds. I love to play with other dogs. Sometimes the older dogs correct me when I get too silly. When they do, I'm quite respectful. I love hanging out with the bigger dogs and play chase and tug-of-war with them. I'm always up for some playtime. But, despite loving to play, I equally love to cuddle. I love to crawl into laps for hugs and kisses. I am part-lab, so chewing is just a part of my nature. As long as you have a hefty supply of appropriate toys and chews around, I'm very good at keeping to my own things.

Remmy will be starting in a puppy obedience class, so we can get him off to a good start. Because of his energy level, we don't recommend him with young children and/or very small pets. He's fine with larger dogs and larger children. Remington will do best with an adopter/family, who is willing to spend time training him. He is smart as a whip and learns things very quickly; however, he will really shine if he is trained to stay focused and has ample activity to keep him busy. He'd probably be a great agility dog or running partner. One thing is for sure...he is going to be one very handsome dog. If you'd like to meet Remington, please contact info@wagsfundrescue.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Remington, a Houston Labrador Retriever/Blue Lacy/Texas Lacy puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Blue Lacy/Texas Lacy for sale in Houston, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Blue Lacy/Texas Lacy puppy from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Blue Lacy/Texas Lacy breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Blue Lacy/Texas Lacy rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
