My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you're searching for a devoted and loving best friend....Nash is the pup you want to have around! Nash, at just about 18 - 24 months old and approximately 14 lbs (the perfect size for long walks as well as lap time), is just naturally a lover ....when he looks at you with those dark, expressive eyes and sweet smile, your heart just has to melt. Nash is a truly beautiful Schnauzer mix...with a bit of scruffy Terrier as well (or at least that's what the Texas vets are thinking)..he has all the traits that make these very beautiful and personality-plus dogs some of the most popular breed mixes around.

Nash enjoys his time with his rescuer so much that he joins her just about everywhere she goes...it's important to Nash to be a true best friend! He loves his people and would definitely win a lap-dog (and couch hogger) award. Nash likes to cuddle close with his beautiful head draped over his favorite person's leg...an occasional kiss from Nash is inevitable. He's a sensitive guy and derives so much joy from his time spent with kind, dog-loving people.

Nash is a young, healthy guy who will love his family with all his heart. He would enjoy another kind and gentle dog to play with (although if his family is loving and present, Nash would do fine alone as well). He would love nothing more than to lie in the sunshine enjoying a beautiful day with a doggie or human friends. Nash would have so much fun exploring and taking walks along the Colorado paths. He is always open to new activities...just say the word and up he jumps for a car ride or just a sociable walk around the neighborhood.

Nash is a very affectionate and loving dog. We would love to see him in a home with a family (older kids preferred so there's no tail-pulling or awkward carrying) or active retirees who have the time and love for a very loyal and kind dog. We'd hate to see Nash left alone all day while his family works full-time...we think he's too sensitive for that. He's such an amazing dog and just the right size and temperament to accompany his people just about anywhere.

Farfel's Rescue would like to see Nash in a home where he'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and tons of hugs. A continuing group training class promotes great behavior and confidence for a smart little guy who is learning about the world.

Farfel's has requested that Nash be neutered prior to his arrival in Denver. We're not optimistic that this will occur due to too many dogs and not enough vets in this very poor area of Texas . If it doesn't, we'll be happy to cover all costs for Nash's neuter and microchip if our Denver vet is used.

Nash will be arriving on transport in Boulder on Saturday 2/25/17. If interested in this sweet and devoted...and very entertaining best friend, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com or fax to 303-443-7730.
