found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.
Hi there! My name is JellyBean! I am a gorgeous girl with chestnut red, shorthaired fur. I am 2 years old and I weigh 45 lbs. I'm a little love-bucket. I am a GREAT dog who is full of personality and character. I make people smile and laugh a lot. It's good for the soul, you know? I love to play with other dogs. Normally, I'm an athlete who loves to chase tennis balls and toys (see me in action in my video). In fact, I love toys. I carry them around, shake them, and seek and destroy the squeakers. It's so much fun. I'll have you laughing in no time with my silly antics. I'm a riot. I love to play in the yard and to take walks. I will roll in the grass and soak up the sunshine when I can. I am friendly and enjoy being petted and scratched. I'm in need of a foster care home or an adopter. I tested positive for heartworm, so right now, I have to stay calm and take it easy. I can't start treatment until I find a place to go where someone will take care of me and the Rescue will pay for that. Could that be you? Will you help me? I'm a great dog and you'll be so glad you did! Please apply today! Adoption fee: $75. Adopt a pair: $115. Fee includes testing, deworming, vaccinations, spay/neuter, 60 days of free pet insurance, a training session with a professional certified behavior trainer, if needed, and registered microchip.

NOTE ABOUT BREED LABELING: Visual breed identification of dogs is unreliable and usually inaccurate. So, for most of our adoptable dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
Why is labeling a dog such a big deal? A label will stick with a dog for the rest of its life. A label can mean discrimination, losing its home or even death. Labels are a problem for the dogs when we, as the local experts on animals, allow adopters, politicians and community members to think that the label we assign can predict who that dog is or will be.
Complete the application at www.pawsforliferescue.org. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
