Cat Trainable - Yes
Our policy is to reserve the cat-trainable dogs for those homes that truly require them. If you have no small animals, you will need to adopt a dog that is not deemed small animal trainable.
Comet is a sweet, friendly guy. He tends to be pretty mellow, but he enjoys going on walks and adventures. He generally crates well. Comet has been eating ProPlan Performance formula dog food, with warm water added to soften it since he doesn't have any back teeth. During Comet's dental, teeth were extracted. The extraction sites are healing well, and the sutures will dissolve on their own. Good home dental care will be important in allowing him to keep his remaining teeth.
Comet did well in cat testing, but has never lived with a cat. Use a muzzle initially, and closely monitor all interactions. When unable to monitor the interaction, some form of physical barrier should be used, i.e. crating.
Comet does well with the other greyhounds. Caution should be used whenever in the vicinity of non-greyhounds.
