Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Mr. Eddy! Eddy is a purebred mini schnauzer who arrived at a high kill shelter as a stray. He had some skin infections and bad teeth, but those have been addressed and he is a healthy boy now. Eddy is approximately 9 years old, in good health except for spine compression which causes neurological issues with his back end, giving him a funky little gait, no meds required, is not in pain, but it does cause some bowel incontinence – he’s housebroken, but usually just can’t make it to the door in time. If you watch for the signs and have him on a schedule, you can usually anticipate when he’ll need to go.
Eddy has corprophagia (eats his feces) which his foster is attempting to address with vitamins, but it may be a habit formed after being hungry on the streets.
Eddy has a feisty, loving personality, Enjoys walks ,Enjoys squeaky & chew toys, can be a little possessive of them, but not aggressive. He loves the couch but needs help getting up on it. Eddy loves his big cushy doggie bed.
Eddy does not do well with cats because he likes to chase them. He loves other mellow/medium energy dogs and is a very good watchdog.
Eddy is neutered, up to date on all vaccines including rabies, is microchipped and has had his teeth cleaned and diseased teeth have been removed. If you would like to apply to adopt Eddy please email us at stmartinsanimalrescue@hotmail.com for an application. Eddy’s adoption fee is $150.00.
