Lucas's Story...
Hi, my name is Lucas. I'm 3 years old & I weigh 11 pounds. I am the sweetest, happiest boy that you will ever meet. You cannot help but to fall in love with me. Not only am I adorable, but I get along with everybody....dogs, cats & kids too.

I settle in easily, I'm independent, quiet, super mellow and I hardly shed. I enjoy walks & exploring my surroundings. I'm a healthy boy, I love to eat & give kisses. I'm a gentleman with my potty manners and I have a non-stop waggy tail. I am super duper special!

Let's set up a date - http://www.rescueachihuahua.com/adoption-application/. I can't wait to meet you. I'm ready to settle into my happily ever after. I will change your life with tons of unconditional love. Oh, and I almost forget to mention, I'm blind (I had a genetic eye problem), but that doesn't phase me in the least. I'm 100% happy & healthy now. Let's ride off into the sunset together. Love Lucas xoxo

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucas, a San Diego Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
