Dexter's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and good with dogs.

Dexter's Story...
Dexter is a 2 year old male long haired chihuahua, weighing about 7 pounds. He is neutered, current on all of his shots, heart worm negative and he has a micro chip.

He is mostly house trained when taken out appropriately and is kennel trained unless left in there for long periods of time.

He is a very happy, hyper, loving boy that loves to cuddle with his human but also loves to play with his toys. He came from a really bad abusive past but you would never know because he is so sweet and forgiving. He does get scared of loud noises and is slightly afraid of bigger dogs if they try to chase him.

He is good with children however, we would want him to go to a home with older children or no children as children can be scary and may trigger a memory from his abusive life before coming to Groovy Paws.

Overall, Dexter is a very loving and forgiving boy that needs an active family that loves to cuddle.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dexter, a Norman Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Norman, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Norman.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Norman already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Norman breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Norman paves the way for another one to be saved.
