Abby is a big sweatheart... Her story is very sad. She ended up in a shelter when she was 6 months old, and stayed there until she was 2 years old. She lived in a small kennel 24/7... she was never taken out for walks. Her shelter consisted of a small outside unheated room with straw and and a small dog run. She received no human companionship. When we rescued her we didn't know what to expect. To our surprise...although she lacked human interaction and compansionship for 2 years she was the sweetest dog who loved to be around people.  She also was easy to housebreak, she never went in the house. Abby was so happy to be rescued and finally be with a family... but Abby needs her own forever family now... Abby is 2 1/2 years old 65 lbs..  Abby is a happy girl and very friendly, and loveable with people. She walks well on a leash and is housetrained.  She is a calm dog, just wants to go on walks and be near her owner.  She wants to be on your lap, but will lay at your feet. She is very well behaved.  She needs a home with older children or no children as she can become fearful with loud noises and much activity.  She wasn't around dogs at the shelter, and she also needs a home without them. She was evaluated by a behavioral trainer and she has a fear of other animals, she may of had a bad experience at the shelter so if one approaches her she will growl.  If she is near another animal she will just ignore them if they don't come up to her. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped.  We are waiving our adoption fee because she needs so desperately to find her forever home...This is one very special girl.  You can put an application in at www.indianasaveadog.com
