My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Annabelle is a 8-10 year old schnauzer/terrier mix who weighs about 18 pounds. She came to us from a partner shelter in northern Arizona. Annabelle has been diagnosed with Cushing's disease.

Cushing’s disease occurs when something goes wrong in the pituitary or adrenal gland and too much glucocorticoid is produced. While Annabelle has a few symptoms of the disease she is an active and otherwise healthy dog. After careful consideration and discussion we have chosen to begin treatment for Cushing’s and she is currently being monitored by our veterinarian.

Even though she has some heath issues, Annabelle has a lot to offer some lucky family. She is silly and gets very excited when there is food or cats! She is fine with other dogs and very loving with people. She's affectionate, loves to go for walks, and basically just wants a human to hang out with. We would love to see Annabelle find her own family and receive the love and attention she deserves.
