Cushings disease occurs when something goes wrong in the pituitary or adrenal gland and too much glucocorticoid is produced. While Annabelle has a few symptoms of the disease she is an active and otherwise healthy dog. After careful consideration and discussion, on the advice of our veterinarian, we have chosen not to begin treatment as there is a significant amount of risk with the treatment and it must be closely monitored to be successful.
Even though she has some heath issues, Annabelle has a lot to offer some lucky family. She is silly and gets very excited when there is food or cats! She is fine with other dogs and very loving with people. She's affectionate, loves to go for walks, and basically just wants a human to hang out with. We would love to see Annabelle find her own family and receive the love and attention she deserves.
