My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**UPDATE** Once given a grim outlook, now with the proper nutrition and much needed medication, Chip is a whole new dog! We believe he is ready to have a home of his own. He would do best in a home with someone that is home most of the day. Or a home with a fenced in yard and a doggie door would be a dream come true. He seems to do well with most dogs and would probably do okay with a cat, but no kids. Please keep in mind that he is on prescription food and takes vitamin B drops twice a day and another medication to keep him thriving. These are things we want you to be aware of when considering offering him a home, because they are an added cost and a necessity for this handsome guy. **ORIGINAL POST** Grab a tissue, you are going to need it! This greying face belongs to a very special guy. A fragile guy who needs you! Chip isn't asking for much, just some love, time and comfort. You see, Chip doesn't have much time left, his frail body is in kidney failure and his time is very limited. Picked up as a stray, it's unknown if he has ever known love and compassion, but he deserves it more than ever now. Chip needs a place where he can live out his last days knowing what it means to be a family pet. He deserves to know the comfort of a warm bed and reassuring touch of a loving hand. We understand the emotional strain that comes with taking in a dog for hospice care, but think about the difference you can make in his life if only for a short time. If you can find it in your heart to open up your home for this guy who needs you more than ever, please let us know.
