My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Good With Kids: Yes - Older Children
Good With Other Dogs: Yes
Good With Cats: No
House trained: Yes
Crate Trained: Yes
Walks Nicely On A Leash: Yes
Knows Basic Commands: Yes and working on more
Energy Level (Couch Potato, Moderate or High): Moderate
Special Needs: None

Arrival story: Arrived at Waggin’ Tails as a stray brought in from animal control. Teddy was suffering from mange/skin issues, Giardia and IBD. He's been treated and is healthy and ready to find his loving, forever home.

Approximate Age / Weight: 3-4 Years Old / 67 lbs.

Personality: This handsome fella is such a good boy! He is smart, friendly and eager to learn. He passed basic training as a star student and also received his Canine Good Citizen certificate. He is calm and unfazed by loud noises.

Teddy loves his walks and is good on a leash. He loves car rides and loves getting sniffs out the window. He is also an awesome built-in alarm clock if you need to get up at 5am :)

Although Teddy has remained calm around children at adoption events, we feel Teddy would do best in a home without young children. He can get nervous and over-excited with erratic and fast movements, as well as play wrestling. He likes to play, but settles down nicely to chew a bone or snooze.

Teddy does not care for being crated and has been perfect when given free range of the home. He finds comfort in canine friends when no humans are around. He has great house manners and has not played with anything other than his toys. Teddy likes to tag along to inspect your household chores and daily routines.

Forever home: Teddy would love a family that will take him on long walks and give him lots of playtime. He loves other dogs and would enjoy canine pals closer to his size to romp with. Teddy does not do well with cats or other small critters. He needs a fenced-in yard. No electric fences for this prey-driven boy, please.
