My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Red is a typical hound dog pup. He's energetic, friendly, and vocal. Red gets along well with cats and other dogs, and loves children. He plays hard, and then he snuggles into his blankets for a well-deserved nap. His previous owners couldn't care for him properly, and surrendered him into rescue. He hadn't received much care or attention in his previous home, and showed some signs of possible neglect. He's responded well to the positive behavioral training, appropriate attention, and quality TLC being provided by his stable, loving fosters. Red is crate trained, housetrained and generally well-disciplined since he's been with fosters for a couple months now. He currently weighs 65-70 pounds, but we expect him to put on more weight as he fills out. He does tend to chew household items, especially kids' toys, and his foster is working on squelching that undesirable habit. Red also has a taste for kitty litter contents, so if he's around cats, their toilet area will need to be off-limits to him. He'd do best in a household where he'll get plenty of exercise and human contact, where he can continue to grow and mature into a healthy, happy hound dawg! Previous hound dog experience is required.
