My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

JAKE is a SUPER HANDSOME approximately 5 year old male shepherd/labrador mix of some sort. We aren't sure of his genetic makeup but whatever it is he is one good-looking All American guy!

JAKE weighs approximately 50 lbs and has an adorable widow's peak. He was a staff favorite at the shelter and they begged for his life as it was very overcrowded.

JAKE absolutely adores people (including kids as you can see in his photos). He has been good with larger dogs and LOVES to play especially with bigger female dogs. Jake should not be in a home with small dogs or cats due to his prey drive with them.

JAKE is extremely loving and would make a great family companion. He has a wonderful temperament and loves to play but also quiets down when play is over and loves to snuggle.

JAKE is neutered, up-to-date on his basic vaccinations and micro-chipped.

He got along great with his big step foster pup sister Scout. Jake is housebroken and does well when left alone during the work day. Jake likes to be with his people during the evenings enjoys playing fetch, tug of war, cuddles and walks well on a leash. Jake needs a home with kids who know good dog manners and no small dogs or cats. If you think your heart could be open to Jake he would love to share all his cuddles and warmth with you.

JAKE also loves to swim and is learning to "dock-dive!" Anyone have a pool????
