Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello! Meet Ethel. She is a beautiful 5-year-old beagle with just a touch of basset hound in her.
She was found wandering in Southern Illinois and was not claimed at the shelter. I am sure someone is missing this sweetie!
Ethel is a mellow beagle with a sweet and calm demeanor. She can be a little shy at first when meeting new people but warms up easily.
She gets along great with her 3 other beagle pals in our home. She likes to chew on bones and play with her stuffed toys.
She does not jump on furniture - someone trained her well! She will only get on the couch or bed if invited. Ethel is very affectionate and loves to be with us getting petted or happy to be on our lap.
She enjoys car rides and does well on a leash. She has not had much crate time. We have a doggie door and she does well with going outside to do her business.
Ethel underwent heartworm treatment and she will need to be retested in June. She is healthy and she only needs to take a heartworm preventative every 30 days just like any dog should.
If you want a sweet, affectionate and calm beagle, Ethel is your girl!
