Smooch's Story...
This sweet baby was found abandoned (with four siblings) along a rural road in Kentucky at about 5 weeks old. Our vet guessed them to be a Lab or Hound Mix. We are guessing Lab/Bloodhound mix. Whatever the breed, this is a sweet, playful baby who has been learning about life in a foster home for a few weeks and is going to make a wonderful family member.

If you are interested in giving this sweet baby a home, please visit our website and download an application or email us at jojosdogrescue and we will send you one. Adoption fee is $250 and includes age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, and parasite treatment. Thanks for choosing adoption!

Please visit our Facebook page JoJo's DogHouse (non-profit) to learn more about us and see many of the dogs we have rescued. We hope you'll join JoJo's family of adopters!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Smooch, a Gallatin Labrador Retriever/Bloodhound puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Bloodhound for sale in Gallatin, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Bloodhound puppy from a breeder in Gallatin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gallatin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gallatin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Bloodhound breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Bloodhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gallatin paves the way for another one to be saved.
