My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Monk E. Mann

This is Monk E. Mann.  He is likely a pug mixed with Chihuahua, the cutest Chug Ever!  He weighs 8 pounds.
This endearing little guy is about 4 to 5 years old, perfectly housetrained and knows the dog door. He is very slow to warm up to his new home, needs a good two weeks, but then his true self emerges and what a little gem he becomes. He will show you his tummy for pets and loves a walk. Not great with other dogs but is a possibility, he's okay with cats. He likes his stuff, collects it and puts it in a pile and then stands guard, so won't share the toys, or bones. He is not recommended at all for younger children, but is just perfect for a quiet home with an active retired person, or family.  He needs a patient person to become his family. If Monk had a dog sibling, it could work out, but the other dog would need to agree to Monk owning all the doggy stuff in the house, he's like a 5 year old who won't share, but his quirky fun side makes up for it.
If you would like to make Monk E. Manna part of your family please fill out an application online at www.lapdogrescue.org and include his name at the top.
