Muffy (Spayed)'s Story...
"Muffy" is a beautiful adult female Shepherd mix who arrived at the HSOV on February 21, 2017 after a Good Samaritan found her in the Marietta Ohio area and brought her to our shelter in hopes that we might locate her family.

"Muffy" has a black-and-brown short smooth coat, a long tail, and an adorable face with expressive brown eyes and long floppy ears.

This little sweetheart has a delightful personality and is a happy young lady. "Muffy" was anxious to pose for glamour photos and meet new people. She walked fairly well on a leash and 'perked up' whenever she saw a car pulling into our parking lot.

"Muffy" weighs 45.6 lbs. She is now available for adoption since she was not reclaimed. "Muffy" was spayed on February 28, 2017 and was also given rabies vaccine.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Muffy (Spayed), a Marietta Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
