Priscilla's Story...
Introducing PRISCILLA!!

Priscilla is a 1 year old, currently 15 pound, spayed female, dachsund mix.

She was found as a stray in South Texas, emaciated, limping, with an eye injury, and pregnant. Her babies are finding their forever homes and now it is mama Priscilla's time to shine and find a home to call her own. She gets along very well with other dogs, has shown no interest in cats, and is a joy to have around. She is progressing with potty training if kept on a consistent schedule, and may need more work to excel. Loves stuffed toys and is very food motivated. Priscilla is up to date on vaccinations, micro-chipped, and heartworm negative.

Preferred home has a secure fenced in yard. Perfect companion for a single person, couple or most any family setting.

Priscilla is currently in a foster home in San Antonio TX and can be transported to your area if adopted.

Local adopters must meet same requirements as out of state adopters.

Adoption fee is $170, and transport fee to the East coast via Rescue Road Trips is $185. Air travel, at airline rates plus the cost of a crate and crate accessories, possible.

CONTACT Teresa at teresakopacki@gmail.com for an application or for additional information, or call Michelle at 210-535-5480.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Priscilla, a Troutville Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Troutville, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Troutville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Troutville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Troutville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Troutville paves the way for another one to be saved.
