My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bowie is a 8ish male golden retriever.
Bowie is a sweet and gentle guy that has potential to be an amazing companion. When he first arrived at his foster home, he was very skittish and afraid to go outside. He did not like noises and would run and hide frequently. He has been working really hard, slowly learning that going outside is fun but loud noises are still sometimes scary for him. He is getting better with going out and will even occasionally explore the back yard, following his foster brothers around, but there are still times that
he is just too afraid to go out. With some patience, he can come out of his shell and become the golden he was meant to be.

Bowie came to GRFR with a few extra pounds on him. He loves his food, but is getting used to smaller portions and lots of veggies. Green beans are his favorite! Now on a healthy diet, his energy levels are rising, but he does enjoy being a couch potato more than anything. Bowie will need a family willing to continue to work with him and be patient with him.

Bowie seems interested in toys and as he becomes more confident, he is more interested in playing, but is still happiest laying at the feet of his
foster parents getting lots of love. He is house trained and has free roam of the house when we are not home. He will need another large confident dog in the home and a family that is patient, understanding, and willing to continue to work with him and show him how great life can be!
