Ernie is a unique mix of Chihuahua, Miniature Pinscher, and love sponge. He is a young guy, approximately a year old, and it seems he has not been exposed to very much in this big world. Ernie prefers to be a wallflower and hopes not to draw too much attention. He takes the position that if he freezes, you will not be able to see him. Then, you can pick up this 20-pound lovealump and snuggle him and tell him how safe he is and what a good boy he is. Ernie would enjoy a home that has a routine, and humans with patience for him to slowly adjust. He will also do best in a home that does not have lots of company, with many new people arriving. Ernie is dog friendly; if he had a canine companion, he could follow their lead on how the home works. The adoption fee is $200 and includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit with our vet. Our adoption hours are Thursday-Saturday from 11:00 am-4:00 pm, and Mondays by appointment, and we are located at 10220 N. 32nd Street (just south of Shea Blvd.) in Phoenix. We offer a low-cost vaccine clinic on Sundays from 11:00 am-2:30 pm, and a low-cost dental clinic on Wednesdays by appointment. Visit our website at www.homefurgood.org for more information.
