Scout's Story...
Meet Scout! This handsome, playful guy is a true beagle! He is so silly, loving & food motivated. He has the softest beagle belly I have ever had the pleasure of rubbing & he is super cuddly! He loves to snuggle up on the couch next to his people, play with dog toys & loves a good dog bed when his people are busy. He is sweet as pie & great with people of all ages & dogs of all sizes. He is crate trained & willing crates himself when offered a treat. He rides well in a car & is pretty decent on a leash... although, sometimes his beagle nose takes over & he has to stop & sniff & is determined to follow that silly nose of his. Scout is super laid back & even rolls over on his back for his foster mom to trim his toenails. Despite what most people think about beagles, barking is minimal with this guy.. the only time he does the typical "beagle bay," is if he is out in the yard & hears or sees something that sparks his interest.. otherwise, he is a pretty quiet guy. He is such a joyful, loving, playful guy with so much love to give... Are you ready to love & receive all the love this guy has to give?! Scout is currently fostered in Huntsville, AL. Email

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scout, a Homewood Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Homewood, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Homewood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
